Community Meeting: Proposal for a new permit parking area
Wednesday, September 28, 2016, 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Jane/Dundas Library, 620 Jane St.
I have heard complaints about a lack of on-street parking in this area of our ward. As you are aware, street-specific permits mean you can only park on the street associated with the permit. In this neighbourhood, some streets are at capacity for permits and others have room for more.
I asked staff in Permit Parking to look at the issue and they have proposed a new permit-parking area that would include Willard Ave (between Dundas St. West and St. Johns Road), Windermere Ave (between Dundas St. West and St. Johns Road), as well as Jillson Ave., Morland Rd. and Rexford Rd.
Residents who apply for parking permits in this area would be free to park on any of the streets in the zone (illustration on reverse).
The result would be more flexible parking options with an increase of available spaces.
I want to hear your thoughts on this proposal. I will be hosting a meeting to discuss it and City Staff will be present to answer your questions about the permit parking program. To attend, RSVP using the form below.
